"This stuff is great for me since I've found myself unable to swallow my prenatal vitamins since I became pregnant. The smell is pretty funky and it doesn't taste particularly fabulous to me, but I need it for my baby! "Being a doctor and having my wife pregnant with our first boy made me take a deep look at all the prenatal supplements available. I recently purchased my third and fourth boxes of this fish oils pills.
First of all, regarding some other reviewers who say that it gives them fishy burps... my wife tells me that it just isn't true, at least not for her. She keeps her pills at room temperature, and unless you have a bad case of reflux I doubt these pills would give you a hard time.

I bought these pill about 6 months ago to be honest I like them a lot I don't know if it was just me but I wasn't having normal periods and these pills actualy help regulate it. Now I know they are suppose to be just prenatal vitamins but the one crazy thing that it did do is they made my breast grow larger. now I am already big chested, but I kid you not I went from a DD to a triple. now I went to the gyn doc to see why that happened and she told me that it was normal becasue certain pills containing folic acid affects certain females in different ways.

Overall, I like these prenatals. They don't make me sick and there isn't a strong smell or anything (an issue I noticed with the raw one prenatal). My midwife suggested I get on whole food vitamins and these are all from food. For example, the folate is all from broccoli. Folate is the natural food form that your body can use, while folic acid, the synthetic form, has to be converted to folate in your body and is not naturally found in food.

They are larger than some other prenatals (like new chapter prenatals) and you have to take 4 a day rather than 3 like many other brands, but overall they seem to be high quality.

Whether the DHA is doing anything for me I can't say for sure. I do think I finish newspaper puzzles faster because of it, but that's not based on any scientific study. What I like about these capsules is that they look fresh. A previous version of these used a casing that looked like the capsules were quite old and seemed rigid, if not more difficult to swallow. These are not unlike my wife's gelatin based capsules. As a committed vegetarian (who would have thought that I would out myself on Amazon) it was important to not use animal products at all and DEVA's product lives up to that and the quality of the product is an added bonus.
